Out of the box, the JM21 is a great lower-cost digital audio player that I really should have bought instead of the Hiby R1.
My recent videos didn't sound too good, so I started investigating microphone options.
I'f fiddled around the HiBy R1 for a few days, but lack the knowledge and hardware to really put it through its paces. Still, portable audio players still exist in 2026, and seemingly for good reasons.
The Grab Bag returneth. Digital audio players, music tagging, my first Macbook, and the usual Star Citizen nonsense.
I just want audio control with my hardware!
Another hardware device enters the house because I didn't prune my wish list. I'd like to get this device into my setup, but I have to fight with the designer's preconceived notions on how they think it should be used in order to do so.
"Mom! Can we get a Streamdeck?" "We have a Streamdeck at home, honey."
Talking about my investigation into separating the art from the artist by employing my phone as an external webcam to record external video for gameplay recordings.
Random garbage from me to you: 3D printing, Home Assistant, Streamdeck setups, and a pretty good Star Trek game demo.
If something's not broke, replace it anyway because of some big-brain idea?
Printing praise, living that beach life on Arrakis, project confessions, resurrecting two legends, and complaining about Star Citizen (again) in this installment of the Grab Bag.
More on the new printer, a trip to Cape Cod, Dune: Awakening update, and rants about Star Citizen for this installment of the Grab Bag.
The Pi continues without purpose, a return to Night City in Cyberpunk 2077, fuck Funcom, and the usual Star Citizen babble in this installment of the Grab Bag.
Exciting! But what do I do with it?
I added a 1920x720 touch-enabled monitor to my retinue for info panels. The jury is still out on whether or not it helps or hinders, but it sure looks cool.
I Intentionally light things on fire to make my drink taste like burnt wood, and it's amazing.
Sitting here at the PC, I realized I haven't talked about my PC, so now I'm talking about my PC because I have no other topics in mind.
Here's a dumb post because it's 7AM on a Saturday and I'm really tired.
